About Me
I am a Registered Psychotherapist who brings both professional training and lived experience into my work. As a first-generation immigrant, I understand the emotional complexities of cultural transitions, intergenerational expectations, identity, and belonging. These experiences shape my commitment to providing culturally responsive, compassionate, and respectful mental-health care.
Before entering the mental-health field, I spent over 20 years working in high-pressure corporate environments, supporting senior executives. This experience gave me firsthand insight into workplace stress, burnout, role strain, and the challenges of balancing career demands, family responsibilities, and personal well-being.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I work with individuals and couples to deepen emotional understanding, strengthen communication, establish healthy boundaries, and break unhelpful patterns—particularly with couples experiencing emotional disconnection or recurring conflict.
I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported. I believe meaningful change happens when therapy is both relational and practical—honouring emotional depth while offering tools that can be applied in everyday life.
