What Is Anxiety? 

Anxiety is a natural response to stress — it helps us prepare for challenges. But when anxiety becomes constant, overwhelming, or shows up without clear reason, it can affect your daily life. People with anxiety often feel “on edge,” worried, or restless even in situations that don’t seem threatening.

How Therapy Can Help?

What Can You Do Now?

Practice slow, deep breathing when you feel anxious

Write down your worries to release them from your mind

Limit caffeine and alcohol, which can make anxiety worse 

Stay active with light exercise, like walking 

Talk to someone you trust instead of keeping feelings inside

When To Seek Help?

If anxiety is interfering with your sleep, work, relationships, or daily activities, therapy can help you regain balance and peace of mind. You don’t have to go through it alone. ​

If you ever have thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please seek help immediately by calling 911 in Canada or visiting your nearest emergency department.
