About Me

Hi, I’m Anson! I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a music therapist with a Master of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Having lived and worked in both Hong Kong and Canada, I have come to appreciate the diverse experiences and perspectives that shape who we are. My experiences across paediatric, rehabilitation, oncology, and geriatric settings have further deepened my curiosity about the human experience and the many ways we find meaning, connection, and expression.

Music has always been an important part of my life. Whether playing the piano, guitar, or drums, I am drawn to the way music can communicate something that words sometimes cannot. This connection between music and human experience is what inspired me to bring together my musical background and my interest in understanding people through music psychotherapy.

I approach my work with humility and curiosity, recognizing that each person's story is unique and that there is always more to learn from one another. I believe that music can be a meaningful way to explore our inner worlds, connect with parts of ourselves that may be difficult to articulate, and discover new perspectives along the way.

I feel privileged to be part of each person's journey and to witness the different ways music can create space for reflection, expression, and connection.
