MindVoice Psychotherapy is an approved provider for the WSIB Mental Health Program of Care (MHPOC) in Ontario. We provide compassionate, culturally responsive mental health support for individuals who have experienced work-related psychological injuries, stress, trauma, or emotional difficulties connected to a workplace incident. Our registered mental health professionals offer assessment and psychotherapy services to support recovery, emotional well-being, and a gradual return to daily life and work.
What Is WSIB Ontario?
The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is Ontario’s workplace insurance system. It provides coverage and support for workers who experience work-related injuries, illnesses, or psychological conditions.
WSIB works with approved healthcare providers to deliver structured treatment programs that support recovery, improve functioning, and help injured or ill workers return to work safely when appropriate.
For mental health concerns related to workplace injury, trauma, or psychological distress, WSIB’s Mental Health Program of Care (MHPOC) provides a structured pathway for psychological assessment, evidence-based treatment, progress reporting, and return-to-work support. WSIB describes its programs of care as services that include assessment, treatment to promote recovery and restore function, and regular communication with WSIB.

What Is the WSIB Mental Health Program of Care?
The Mental Health Program of Care (MHPOC) is WSIB’s structured treatment framework for individuals experiencing work-related psychological injuries.
The program is designed to provide time-limited, goal-oriented mental health treatment that supports both emotional recovery and functional improvement.
MHPOC may include:
-
Structured psychological treatment
-
Evidence-based interventions, such as CBT, CPT, and EMDR
-
Support for functional recovery and daily functioning
-
Preparation for safe and gradual return to work
-
Coordinated care with WSIB case managers and clinical teams
Treatment is delivered in defined blocks, with clear clinical goals, progress monitoring, and reporting requirements. This structure helps ensure that care remains focused, practical, and aligned with each client’s recovery and return-to-work needs.

WSIB-Experienced Clinical Team
At MindVoice Psychotherapy, our clinicians are licensed mental health professionals experienced in providing WSIB-aligned psychological care. We support clients throughout their recovery journey, from initial assessment and treatment planning to functional recovery, workplace reintegration, and return-to-work support.
Our services may include psychological assessment, evidence-based psychotherapy, coping skills development, functional recovery support, WSIB reporting, and clinical documentation.
Our team is familiar with the structure and requirements of the WSIB Mental Health Program of Care, including block-based treatment planning, functional ability-focused clinical formulation, communication with case managers and nurse consultants, and coordination related to return-to-work planning.
We understand that recovery involves both clinical progress and navigation of WSIB requirements. Our goal is to provide compassionate, structured, and practical support that helps clients regain stability, build coping capacity, and move forward with confidence.

How the WSIB MHPOC Process Works
1. Referral
Clients may be referred to the WSIB Mental Health Program of Care through several pathways, including WSIB case managers, healthcare providers, WSIB-approved intake pathways, or self-referral when appropriate.
2. Assessment & Treatment Planning
Our partnership agency conducts a structured clinical assessment to better understand the client’s psychological symptoms, functional limitations, work-related barriers, and recovery or return-to-work goals.
Based on the assessment, a treatment plan is developed in alignment with WSIB Mental Health Program of Care requirements.
3. Structured Treatment Blocks
Treatment is delivered in WSIB-defined treatment blocks and may include individual psychotherapy, trauma-focused interventions, functional recovery strategies, coping skills development, and return-to-work readiness support.
Each treatment block is designed to support measurable progress in emotional well-being, daily functioning, and work-related recovery.
4. Reporting & WSIB Coordination
Throughout treatment, we provide structured progress updates and clinical documentation as required by WSIB. This may include block-based clinical reports, functional ability updates, treatment progress summaries, recommendations, and coordination with WSIB case managers or clinical consultants.
Our goal is to support clear communication, consistent care, and a smooth recovery process from assessment to workplace reintegration.
